Licensing Act 2005 ("The Act")
The Stars & Mayfair function suites are Licensed Premises, as described in the Licensing Act of 2005.
As a consequence of this Act, we are obliged to be extra vigilant in relation to underage drinking and it is for this reason that everyone who appears to be under 25 years of age, will be asked to prove that they are in fact 18 years of age. Unfortunately if an approved photo ID cannot be produced, an alcoholic drink cannot be served.
All attendees under the age of 16yrs must be accompanied by their parent.
We must also bring to your attention that it is a Criminal Offence for any attendee at your function to purchase alcohol for a person under the age of 18yrs.
It is for this reason that we operate a zero tolerance policy in relation to underage drinking on our premises. Should it become apparent to our staff that anyone under the age of 18 years is drinking alcohol at your function, we will immediately bring this to your attention so that you can ask those attendees involved to leave the function immediately. If the attendees in question refuse to leave your function and/or if the problem persists, we will have no alternative but to close your function early.
Unsociable or Violent Behaviour
Unfortunately alcohol affects people in different ways and in the past we have experienced instances of unsociable and violent behaviour. If this does occur at your function, we will bring this to your attention so that you can ask those attendees involved to leave your function immediately. If the attendees in question refuse to leave your function and/or if the problem persists, we will have no alternative but to close your function early.
Dress Code
The hirer shall be responsible to ensure that all of their guests are dressed appropriately and accordingly we will refuse entry to any guests wearing hoods, hats and sports wear.
